Letter from the President (Jan 2007)

Welcome!

In 1976 I joined my father’s five-year-old electrical contracting business fresh out of high school as a determined and ambitious young kid. Over 30 years later, I’m no longer a young kid but I’m still the same resolute and determined person I was back then.

As our company has expanded over the last several decades, we have grown older, yet I believe that we have still retained our core values and founding beliefs. The Clark Associates companies have never been about big marketing campaigns with a bunch of romantic dribble about why we are special. Fact is…our customers already know that we are special. Throughout our company’s history we have always strived to help our customer get their job done a little easier.

Our companies focus on presenting different and innovative ways to reach our customers. In selling foodservice equipment, for example, we have three separate entry points to the market through the traditional dealership, cash-n-carry stores, and e-commerce website. Finding ways to better serve our customers is a principle held true by all of the Clark Associates companies.

With all of our expansion and growth over the years our corporate numbers impress people. Sure we have over 450,000 square feet of buildings, $8.5 million in inventory, and thousands of customers; but our greatest assets remain our employees and reputation.
