Basic Overview: The Safety Manager, under limited supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the Safety of the 872 GA warehouse; and performs related duties as assigned.
It is the role of the Safety Manager to design and implement policies and procedures that help prevent harm to workers and property of the Webstaurantstore. The Safety Manager will act as an adviser to management for any updates or changes to procedures that may be needed. The Safety Manager will be in charge of all heavy equipment, and new hire training that pertains to equipment operations and safety procedures. They will be responsible for maintaining and updating all certifications that are required for all personnel which may include, but is not limited to CPR, First Aid, AED, and Lift certifications. The Safety Manager will have working knowledge regarding government safety standards and regulations which will enable them to conduct in-house inspections and/or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure proper compliance within the property of the Webstaurantstore. The Safety Manager, and will follow up with management. The Safety Manager will conduct warehouse walk-throughs, complete monthly fire extinguisher, and eyewash station inspections and report findings to management and Corporate Safety Coordinator on a regular basis with any regulatory questions, findings or any other safety issues.
The Webstaurantstore stands behind the Safety Manager to ensure that they will continually develop themselves professionally through training and classes to ensure they have the most up-to-date knowledge and certifications of all government policies and procedures.
