Job Title: Packing Quality Assurance Specialist

Company: Webstaurant Store, Inc.

The Packing QA should be in constant communication with the packing lead and the manager on duty. He/she should have good product knowledge and be aware of the differences in quantities. The QA should be able to identify and correct issues while addressing them to the team. He/she should be knowledgeable with a computer and utilization of spreadsheets. The QA is a direct representation of packing and should possess good communication and motivational skills.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • The QA reports directly to the Packing Team Lead and is jointly responsible to ensure all packing operations are completed efficiently and effectively

  • Ensure all packages are packed properly

  • Use of the error accounting log to document inefficiencies and to track accountability

  • Continually implement improvement techniques

  • Act as a liaison between various departments within the warehouse

  • Train new employees in a uniform manner to ensure consistency

  • Maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety

  • Address and correct issues with accuracy

  • Work closely with the Outbound Manager to ensure the highest quality of work demanded by the WebstaurantStore

  • Repick items for the packers in a timely manner

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to push and pull up to 150 lbs

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs

  • Must be able to constantly bend, reach, climb, squat, and stand throughout the shift
