Job Title: Supply Chain Intern – Summer 2020

Clark Associates, Inc. is the fastest growing distributor of foodservice, hospitality and janitorial supplies in the country. Products are sold through three channels of distribution, including (e-commerce model), The Restaurant Stores (cash and carry model), and Clark Food Service Equipment (traditional distribution model). The procurement department is responsible for managing the 300,000+ items available to all three distribution channels. In procurement, we work hard to offer the broadest and best assortment of product, the best price and value, and to always be in stock.

We are currently looking for interns to join procurement’s specialized Smallwares and Tabletop team for the 2020 summer. The Smallwares and Tabletop team manages front-of-house and back-of-house products for 15 category families including flatware, glassware, catering and buffet, textiles and many more. These categories require a specialized focus on industry trends and creative solutions in order to stay competitive in the market

Gain invaluable supply chain experience while working closely with our Smallwares and Tabletop team. This position gives students an opportunity to be an integral part of a fast-paced, challenging work environment focused on research, product development, sourcing, negotiating, inventory control, marketing and much more.

  • Onboarding new vendors or products
  • Researching product pricing to stay competitive

No industry knowledge necessary. All summer interns participate in a company-wide personal development course throughout the summer that includes socials, volunteer activities, leadership panels and more.
