Job Title: Import Development Internship

As a member of our procurement team, you’ll learn how to find and communicate with overseas factories and develop business relationships with overseas vendors. This position is ideal for students interested in pursuing a career in Procurement, Supply Chain, International Business or Marketing after graduation.  

We are a technology forward company that will give you exposure to a global procurement environment and data driven solutions to problems of inventory management and distribution.  We are one of Pennsylvania’s 50 Fastest Growing Companies and are always looking for new talent.  As an Import Development intern, you will get to see first-hand how a product is supplied from vendors to our warehouses and stores as well as product movement within our company. 


Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Researching possible new overseas vendors through databases. Contacting and ensuring factory and vendor qualification as well as starting to create a successful relationship.
  • Data entry updating existing Items with changes as well as adding new Items to our database with total accuracy.
  • Spreadsheet compilation and analysis to ensure next steps with product development are correct and smart.
  • Complete pricing comparisons with new and existing vendors to ensure we remain as competitive as possible in our market.
  • Product testing to confirm quality and accuracy of possible/existing products.


  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, while handling a large project throughout the summer.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access are preferred, but not required.
    • Excel: manipulate data using formulas/programming  (Macros)
  • Strong communication skills and great with managing multiple projects at a time.
