Job Title: Strategic Sourcing Manager

Clark Associates, Inc. specializes in providing foodservice equipment and supplies to restaurants, hospitality, and healthcare businesses around the world. Products are primarily sold through three distribution channels: The Webstaurantstore.com (Ecommerce Model); The Restaurant Stores (Cash and Carry Model); and Clark Food Service Equipment (Traditional Distribution Model). Our approach to business is how well we can service the customer. How do we do it? We work tirelessly to offer the broadest and best assortment of product, the best price and value, and to always be in stock. 

We are looking for a determined and resourceful person to source food service equipment and supplies from around the world as a Strategic Sourcing Manager.  This role focuses on adding new products to our existing private branded product lines and find global sources for current products.  Responsibilities include sourcing from both overseas and domestic manufacturers, product category management, and marketing.   This is a fast-paced position that requires time management and prioritization skills. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Source international and domestic suppliers and products
  • Create and develop profitable private-branded product lines based on marketplace evaluation
  • Communicate effectively with manufacturers to develop a desirable end product and price
  • Manage inventory, shipments, tariffs, and other facets of the import process
  • Manage promotional materials and campaigns

 Job Skills:

  • Ability to navigate negotiations with manufacturers
  • Solid research, data reporting and analysis skills
  • Good prioritization and organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Access, and Outlook

No prior purchasing experience necessary. Extensive training for success will be provided to the right candidate.
