Job Title: Software Development Internship

Are you currently exploring software development and curious about what it looks like to create and deploy software? Are you ready to take your education to the next level and take part in a development team? While interning with developers at Clark Associates you'll get to take the next step and experience development in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment.

While we do work hard dialing it up to eleven, we work in a company full of like-minded individuals whose pastimes delve deep within nerd culture keeping conversation fascinating and making work more enjoyable. Our team has many years of dedication to developing software and are committed to sharing that experience with others of all experience levels. Along with great people, our office environment is casual and dog friendly with a game room including a ping pong table, a pool table, air hockey and more. An added bonus to working within the restaurant industry is our incredible lunches from our in-house chefs or occasionally catered lunches by local favorites.

Internship is competitively compensated and will take place over summer 2020.

Our goal:
Our team believes that growing as a software developer is partially education and largely learning through practice. Our goal is to advance your education in the software field using this belief and by giving you meaningful work that will expand on what you have already learned.

You'll learn:

  • Development using C# .NET Core/Framework, SQL (Sql Server), HTML, javascript, CSS, React, TypeScript
  • Working with modern development tools including Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, Git, and more
  • Working on a fast paced agile team
  • Taking an application from your computer and running on production servers
  • Industry standard development methodologies, including popular design patterns and test coverage and how those impact code quality

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is currently pursuing a computer science degree or other equivalent program
  • Is familiar with basic computer science concepts including OOP, data structures, and design patterns
  • Is passionate about technology and software
  • Is eager to learn and explore unknown concepts
  • Has previous work/volunteer experience in any professional environment
