Job Title: Outbound Operations Supervisor

Hometown Provisions, a division of Clark Associates, Inc. is looking to add a Outbound Operations Supervisor to our growing team. The Outbound Operations Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership, management and accountability to a fleet of CDL and non-CDL box trucks and drivers. Working collaboratively with senior management, sales team, and shift supervisors, this role is a key component of our operation team. Successful candidates will be driven, hungry, motivated to lead, process improve and make a positive impact on the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of CDL and non-CDL drivers and promote company core values
  • Ensure proper maintenance and documentation of a fleet of 12 vehicles and 2 trailers
  • Optimize delivery routes, ensuring efficiency while maintaining consistent customer delivery times
  • Ensure trucks are properly loaded and ready for departure consistently on time
  • Monitor, track and communicate delivery progress each day, communicating with the Sales Team any disruptions in service
  • Devise metrics for measuring individual performance and maintaining accountability
  • Ensure customer invoicing/billing is completed accurately and efficiently each day
  • Schedule and manage vendor backhauls and return pick ups
  • Communicate transportation related changes and issues to the 3rd Shift Supervisor on a regular, reoccurring basis
  • Provide disciplined decision making in accordance with company policies and procedures

Required Competencies:

  • Proven track record of building teams and alignment in an operations setting
  • Strong organization skills with an ability to build reporting using MS Excel and/or Access
  • Demonstrated history of process improving with measurable outcomes
  • Ability to comfortably communicate well with all levels of the organization
  • Tech-savvy and able to work with a number of systems and technical tools
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field of study preferred
