Overview:

Our Business Services team supports a diverse group of growing entities with a wide variety of business, economic, accounting, and strategic deliverables and advice. Business Services’ core focus is to deliver unexpected value in supporting the success of our companies by proactively finding solutions that promote operational health and employee care. Our tax team has an integral role in meeting income tax compliance responsibilities, and development and execution of tax strategies. The program provides participants an outstanding opportunity to produce meaningful results, while gaining an understanding of business operations, tax law and the corporate work environment. 

As a Tax Analyst Intern you will:

• Prepare timely and accurate income tax and/or informational returns and extensions for business entities and individuals
• Gain an understanding of tax compliance and planning basics
• Learn about e-commerce sales/use tax issues and support the Indirect tax team filing sales/use tax returns
• Perform research, resolve, and document tax issues 
• Assist in managing tax fixed asset records and calculations
• Respond to and resolve tax notices from government jurisdictions
• Participate in continuous improvement through learning activities that enhance business and tax experience and apply concepts to current projects
• Other projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Driven, self-motivated, and strong interpersonal skills
• Able to think critically, work accurately with data, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Basic understanding of business and tax issues
• Coursework in business and accounting desired
• Proficiency with MS Excel expected

The goal of this program is to cultivate well-rounded business professionals, while also providing interns real life business scenarios for a challenging experience. This program combines the knowledge and theory you have learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting.
