Due to our rapid growth, we’ve been adding new locations across the United States and are seeking candidates to join our growing team. We offer paid internships as well as a comprehensive internship programming offering several professional development opportunities as well as chances to learn about all areas of the business.
The Optimization Internship is a project-based internship that will get you hands-on with our supply chain and work directly with our processes, staff and procedures to focus on analyzing a function for improvement. Interns will be placed into one of two optimization teams, Inbound or Outbound. This position will start with a rotational period in one of our distribution centers to learn the background and current processes for each department. Then, the intern will be in charge of selecting one area of interest to focus on creating an improvement project for within their optimization team of focus. Some areas of focus could include, but not limited to, inventory control, packing optimization, stocking efficiency, data management or receiving workflow. This candidate must be able to pick up on areas that are flowing and working well but with small changes, could save the company money, labor hours or improve the overall user experience. The internship will conclude with a final presentation of your findings and implementation of your ideas into the distribution center. Evaluation will be assessed on time savings, cost reductions, employee satisfaction/experience, and creativity of the optimization.
