POSITION SUMMARY

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for supervising all operations related to their assigned shift to include, but not limited to cycle counts and stock put away. The Inventory Control Supervisor is directly responsible for managing ˜20 employees. He/She must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and internal/external employees of WebstaurantStore and Clark Associates. The Inventory control Supervisor should have an in-depth understanding of the Inventory Distribution System (IDS). He/She should also have functional knowledge of the various other departments within the warehouse including all Inbound and Outbound operations. The Inventory Control Supervisor should be able to effectively and efficiently work as a part of the distribution center leadership team.

The Inventory Control Supervisor should be able to answer any questions brought to their attention by the Associates, while making the appropriate administrative decisions. He/She should also be able to answer emails from various other departments in a timely and appropriate manner.

Above all, the Inventory Control Supervisor should be an employee of excellent standing. He/She will hold themselves to the highest standards in which the WebstaurantStore and Clark Associates require. The Inventory Control Supervisor will enforce all company policies and standards to ensure fair and proper treatment of all employees and situations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations within the Inventory Control Department
  • Supervise assigned stock put away to remain within current expectations established by management
  • Communicate effectively with the Inventory Control Manager regarding shift performances
  • Create and assign new cycle counts per current expectations established by management
  • Ensure all Associates are trained effectively to meet metrics and adhere to expectations
  • Ensure item attributes are completed daily
  • Document and report inventory issues to the appropriate leadership personnel
  • Ensure any coaching and/or disciplinary actions are documented effectively
  • Support the Inventory Control Manager in taking lead on various tasks and projects as assigned
  • Maintain DC Operational Supplies stock counts and organizations multiple times weekly
  • Remain in constant professional communication with Leadership team
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with all employees to maximize efficiency and support the company culture.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
  • Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
  • Must be proficient in using a personal computer and/or handheld device
  • Understands effective leadership principles and promotes teamwork and productivity

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 10 hours/day
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.


SHIFT: SUNDAY-THURSDAY 9:00PM-5:00AM
