POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for supervising all operations related to the QA department in daily shift operations. He/She must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and internal/external employees of WebstaurantStore and Clark Associates. He/She should also have functional knowledge of the various other departments within the warehouse including all Inbound and Outbound operations. The Quality Assurance Supervisor should be able to effectively and efficiently work as a part of the distribution center leadership team.

 The Quality Assurance Supervisor will display regular and predictable on-site attendance. The Quality Assurance Supervisor should be able to answer any questions brought to their attention by the Associates while making the appropriate administrative decisions. He/She should also be able to answer emails from various other departments in a timely and appropriate manner. The Quality Assurance Supervisor will be responsible for the development of Associates and Team Leaders, both professionally and culturally.

 Above all, the Quality Assurance Supervisor should be an employee of excellent standing. He/She will hold themselves to the highest standard in which the WebstaurantStore and Clark Associates require. The Quality Assurance Supervisor will enforce all company policies and standards to ensure fair and proper treatment of all employees/situations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the QA Manager in supervising the day-to-day operations within the Quality Assurance Department
  • Ensure all employees are operating within the current safety guidelines
  • Enforce company/location policies and standards
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy throughout daily department operations
  • Create a fostering team environment that enables shifts to attain daily/weekly goals
  • Create, review, and present reports pertaining to the department’s performance
  • Conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions
  • Continuously develop and measure performance of Team Leaders and Associates
  • Communicate with the QA Manager regarding shift performance
  • Ensure quality of receiving, stocking, and shipping though analysis and effectively report data to appropriate leadership personnel
  • Ensure any coaching, on the spot corrections, and informal warnings are documented effectively
  • Support the QA Manager in taking lead on various tasks and projects as assigned
  • In coordination with the QA Manager, improve warehouse processes through DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, and Control)

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, distribution environment; receiving and/or inventory experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
  • Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
  • Must be proficient in using a personal computer and/or handheld device
  • Understands effective leadership principles and promotes teamwork and productivity

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to constantly bend, reach, climb, and stand throughout shift
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift / carry 50-75lbs. and push / pull up to 150lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.


Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-1:30am
