"I believe the fantastic environment at this company stems from this being such an incredible place to work..."

Professionally, the most important thing to me is continual growth and knowledge so that I never become stagnant in my career. Over the past four years at WebstaurantStore, I've never come close to reaching any sort of professional plateau. This is because I work with a team of managers and professionals who provide the type of challenges and resources necessary to improve my programming and professional skills.

During my time here, I have recognized many parallels to my experience at Penn State–particularly in regard to team spirit and camaraderie. Just as I believe the great culture at Penn State is a direct byproduct of an excellent university, I believe the fantastic environment at WebstaurantStore stems from this being such an incredible place to work.

"I enjoy working at Clark Associates for many different reasons, and look forward to what the future brings at such a great company!"

Before I began my career at Clark Associates I did not have any experience in the Procurement division. Shortly after starting, I was able to use many of the skills and experiences from Penn State to be effective within this new field including training new employees and maintaining an organized system to manage vendors. Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to be promoted to a Purchasing Assistant role and take on new responsibilities, allowing me to be the most useful while still being challenged and engaged. Within my position, I enjoy being able to work closely with my co-workers to solve problems, implement new systems, and find the most efficient approaches to processes on a day-to-day basis.

What I like about working at Clark is their consistent support of employees through new trainings, employee recognition, and continued support of employees moving toward their best career path. Another responsibility I have recently taken on is to work with a group to coordinate fun events for our employees including food trucks for lunch, fitness classes, and a summer Luau. These events help promote a positive work environment and provide ongoing incentives to keep working hard. I enjoy working at Clark Associates for many different reasons, and look forward to what the future brings at such a great company!

"Clark Associates really takes the time to find great employees, and help them succeed within their field..."

I graduated from Penn State in 2010 and started as the Lead Graphic Designer at Clark Associates later that summer. Over the next couple years, I was given increased responsibility and was promoted to Marketing Manager. My department is responsible for a number of tasks including the creation of monthly mailed flyers, coding weekly email advertisements, designing packaging for the items we sell, and putting trade show displays together! This wide variety of projects keeps every day unique and exciting.

Through my time at Clark, I learned so much that could never be taught in a classroom – hiring skills, business communication, management techniques, and all about the food service industry. Clark Associates really takes the time to find great employees, and help them succeed within their field. With our fast-paced, rapidly-growing environment, there is no way I could ever get bored here. It's the perfect transition from the PSU community.
