Lancaster, Pa. – Despite having to cancel their Eighth Annual Derby Day Party due to COVID-19, the Clark Associates Charitable Foundation, with the help of several key vendor partners and local contributors, will be able to distribute over $1 million this month to 17 local nonprofit organizations.
The Clark Foundation’s mission is to give back and support the community through financial donations to nonprofit organizations that provide for the health and welfare of people in need, support youth education programs, and support music and the arts.
This year, the primary recipients of the Clark Foundation’s donations were the Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development, receiving $175,000; the Lancaster County Conservancy, receiving $100,000; the Manheim Township and Conestoga Valley Education Foundations, both receiving $90,000; and the Anchorage Breakfast Program, receiving $20,000. Clark Associates employees recommended the following organizations also receive donations through the Derby Day Fundraiser: CASA Court Appointed Special Advocates was gifted $50,000, Power Packs Lancaster and the Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster received $30,000 each, and Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services was given $20,000.
Additional donation recipients are as follows: Pequea Valley Education Foundation ($70,000); Warwick Education Foundation ($50,000); Food Hub ($50,000); Music for Everyone ($35,000); Good Samaritan Services ($30,000); Advantage Lancaster ($25,000); and Meals on Wheels ($20,000). The Clark Foundation commends our vendor partners, local contributors, and Clark Associates employees for their generosity and focus on giving back to the community even during these challenging times.
